Chris, also known as Chreasy for being the most easy going person in the milky way, started with Forró in summer 2019, right after he kicked André in the face while playing Capoeira. It was not only the very beginning of their friendship, but also the beginning of his Forró career. Today, Chris really enjoys being a Forró instructor and is highly valued for his sense of humor in class, as well as his amazing ability to create allegories that would have made Plato jealous.
In his free time, he mixes crazy stuff on his DJ controller and turns every Forró party into a real “Frankfurtaúnas” if needed. Beside that, he loves playing capoeira and doing sports, which helps him rock the dance floor longer than a roman building can last.
Chris doesn’t believe in such thing as a talent and says that it is all about passion and self-improvement. Therefore, he constantly works on his dancing skills and tries to broaden them by learning another Brazilian dance called Zouk.
His favorite Forró song is Delirando by Pernambuco do Pandeiro and he can never resist it.
It was a Friday evening in 2018 when Conni stumbled into a “Brazilian couple dance class” in Cambridge – making her fall in love with the dance and community feeling within forró. Back in Frankfurt, she was relieved to find Let’s Forró, where she could continue her journey as a dancer, and a year later also as a Forró instructor.
As an allrounder, she has more talents than a normal human brain can handle. Be it dancing, teaching, yoga, videography or music, she nails it all. All of this is possible because she is THE ULTIMATE ORGANIZATION MASTER, which is why Conni is always relaxed and knows exactly what she is doing in her dance classes.
Recently, she got the title of self-improvement guru, as she is always ready to deliver wise words and help her students find the correct path. She is crazy about connection, and rumors have it that she is so light that you will see her floating on the dance floor. She knows how to create enjoyable dance moments and spread tons of positivity wherever she goes.
Check out Conni’s favorite Forró song: Dom do Amor by Ó do Forró.
Dedé is the driving force of Let’s Forró and the teaching crew. As a Brazilian living in Germany, he got into dancing and teaching in Kaiserslautern in 2016 – now, Forró is the sense guiding his life.
After starting his dance classes in Frankfurt and realizing that he cannot clone himself, he built up a team of teachers and passed his knowledge to be able to share the love of Forró with many more people. Dedé has been teaching at many festivals all over Europe and is also a member of the European Forró Federation.
With his unforgettable enthusiasm and creativity, he brings a lot of energy and positivity to class, leaving everyone with a warm hug and a smile on the face.
In his free time, Dedé pampers his flatmates with some sweet accordion tunes, no neighbor complaints so far. Rumors has it that he is the king of memes and that he will soon have his own Stand-up-Comedy show.
Check out his favorite Forró song: Chuculatera by Antonio Carlos & Jocafi.
Jasmin heard about Forró for the first time when she randomly met Dedé at the airport in London in 2018. Since summer of 2021, she is completely in love with this dance. However, her dance career already began as a 5-year-old child with ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, hip hop and of course – as an Egyptian / German – belly dancing. That‘s why she loves to mix different dancing styles and you will always find her improvising on the dance floor.
When she’s not traveling the world – be it for business or for fun – Jasmin is passionate about all kinds of sports: kickboxing, crossfit, running, yoga, hiking, basketball, table tennis… There are very few things she won’t try.
Her passion for Forró truly has no borders. She has already been to festivals all over Europe and of course in Brazil, where she learned Portuguese in about 2 months. So, who knows, she might have some Brazilian DNA?!
Her students benefit from Jasmin‘s tireless energy and from her enthusiasm to pass on her knowledge. Caution, there is an infectious risk of „Forró addiction“!
Her favorite song is “Cipó” by Marcus Moletta.

Oksana started dancing Forró in Stuttgart in 2017 and has been a vital member of the Frankfurt Forró community since 2019. Her dance journey began with traditional Ukrainian folk dance as a little girl, giving her the skill to do seemingly endless turns with crazy stability. Her effortless elegance both in Forró as well as in life, make Oksi an amazing person to dance with and to learn from, as she recently became a dance instructor.
She is not only a passionate dancer, but also an enthusiastic Zabumba player and is currently also learning to play the Kalimba and Ukulele. On top of music and dance, she loves everything related to digital marketing and delving into the depths of digitalization. Amazingly, she has her very own YouTube channel – explaining the peculiarities of the German language to her Ukrainian fan base.
When you find Oksi on the dancefloor, be aware, she is not there to cuddle but for wild dances.
Make sure to listen to her favorite Forró song: Eu gosto desse assunto by Trio Dona Zefa
Selin’s dance journey began with Turkish folk dance and continued with Tango Argentino, before she dived into Forró in 2021.
Intrigued by the unique music at first, she fell in love with the variety of rhythms, wondering “Can we really dance to that song?”. It was only afterwards that she embraced Forró as a dance style, marking a significant new chapter in her passion for movement.
When she is not on the dance floor, you can find Selin doing yoga, drawing or playing the zabumba.
She is appreciated for her warm teaching style and infectious smile that can lift her students’ spirits anytime. She creates an environment where learning goes beyond steps, evolving into a joyful and harmonious celebration of both the music and the dance itself.
A fun fact about Selin is that she is indifferent to left and right, making “dark side” an unknown term to her.
“Forró na Neve” by Jorge do Rojão holds a special place in Selin’s heart as the song that made her fall in love with Forró back then.
Youssi embarked on his Forró journey in the spring of 2019. Since then, he has immersed himself in the Forró world. For him, this lifestyle includes lots of dancing, going to festivals, teaching and DJ’ing.
As a dedicated DJ, he is passionate about creating Forró sets that put joy on people’s faces and make them want to dance all night long. Understandingly, choosing a favorite song is challenging for Youssi, reluctantly answering “’If you really forced me to pick just one song, I would say that I currently like ‘Minha Terra Natal’ by Evann do Brasil”.
Youssi’s teaching style is characterized by a humble and practical approach. He believes that actions speak louder than words and always notices where his students need help, providing them with as much input as needed.
Fun fact about Youssi: he has already taught Forró on three continents – Europe, Africa, and Asia. This just shows how much he loves to travel and his commitment to spreading the joy of Forró across the globe.
