Our statute
Our statute is more than just rules; it’s a reflection of our shared commitment to the forró community. Check out the highlights of our statute:
Purpose
The association promotes Brazilian culture, especially the Forró dance, and operates as a nonprofit organization.
Membership
Membership is open to individuals and legal entities, with active, supporting, and honorary members. Membership fees are set by the general assembly and can only be used for statutory purposes.
Board
The board consists of a first and second chairperson and a treasurer. Decisions are made by simple majority.
General assembly
This is the highest body of the association, responsible for key decisions like board elections and amendments to the bylaws.
